Before law school, Jared obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish summa cum laude from Worcester State University in Worcester, Massachusetts, in May of 2008. He was in the college's Honors Program as well as a member of Phi Eta Sigma freshman honor society, Alpha Mu Gamma foreign language honor society, and the Business Administration Honor Society. Jared received the prestigious Senator Paul Tsongas scholarship for full tuition, given to five students per year at each Massachusetts state college.
After graduating from Worcester State University in only three years, Jared pursued his love for gemstones by attending the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California, on a full-tuition scholarship. Jared graduated as a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) and Accredited Jewelry Professional (A.J.P.) with a 4.00 GPA in March of 2009. Thereafter, Jared was immediately hired at America's oldest jeweler, then located in Orange County, California, where he adorned Orange County's glitterati without some of the finest and rarest diamonds and gemstones in the world.
At the age of 17, Jared founded Olen Jewelry, his own internet-based retail jewelry business selling high-quality .925 sterling silver jewelry. In its 7 years of operation, Olen Jewelry served clients from five continents, including Hollywood stars.
Jared is currently employed as a federal judicial law clerk at the United States District Court for the Central District of California, which is located in downtown Los Angeles.
